Marco Alexandre Saias is graduated from University of Lisbon Law School, and has a master degree in IP Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
He has worked as in-house lawyer in Prisa Innova and GDM (PRISA - Promotora de Informaciones, SA), and as responsible for the worldwide intellectual property and privacy/data protection administration in a couple of startup companies.
Currently he is an associate layer in PRA - Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados where he advises and coordinates projects in the fields of Intellectual Property, Privacy and Personal Data, IT and Ciberlaw, for several types of national and multinational companies in different areas of business.
Recently he wrote the article "Unlawful acquisition of trade secrets by cyber theft: between the Proposed Directive on Trade Secrets and the Directive on Cyber Attacks", for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice.
He is also a member of APDSI's (Associação para a Promoção e Desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação) “Security in the Information Society Group”.
