Michel van Leeuwen has a Master degree in Public Administration from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
After working as a policymaker at the Justice Department on labor relations and organizational change, he was assistant to the director-general for international affairs and immigration.
The next six years he functioned as programme manager in a foundation for urban development and where he was responsible for knowledge management. Upon his return to the Justice Department he worked on surveillance and protection policy in the Netherlands at the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism.
As head of the Cyber Security Policy Division at the Dutch National Cyber Security Centre at the Ministry of Security and Justice, Michel is responsible for strengthening the cyber security resilience of government and private organizations. Michel (44) is married and has two kids.
